Clean is a process—not a sticker.
Reusable moving equipment lives a real working life. What matters is a consistent turnaround process and the willingness to hold equipment back when it does not meet the standard.
Plain-language promise: we describe our equipment as cleaned and inspected, not sterile. Hello Yellow totes are moving and temporary-storage equipment—not medical, food-contact, or sanitary storage containers.
BETWEEN RENTALS
Five stops before “ready.”

Receive & separate
Returned items enter a pending-inspection area. They are kept apart from equipment already cleared for service.
- 02
Empty & clean
We remove customer labels and loose debris, then clean interior and exterior surfaces, lids, handles, rims, and contact areas using approved products according to their instructions.
- 03
Dry completely
Equipment must be visibly dry before it is closed or stacked. Moisture, odor, or residue sends it back through the process.
- 04
Inspect the working parts
We check tote bodies, rims, handles, lid fit, latches, label sleeves, dolly platforms, and casters for damage, contamination, or unreliable operation.
- 05
Ready—or not
Equipment that passes moves to the ready area. Anything questionable is re-cleaned, held for repair or review, or retired from rental service.

Before pickup, empty every tote, remove your belongings, keep lids and equipment together, and place the rental where the confirmed pickup can be completed safely. We will handle the between-rental cleaning and inspection.
